Welcome to Computer Concepts

Blog No. 1

Welcome to Intro to Computer Concepts at Holmes Community College! I do not know how many of you are bloggers or are blog "stalkers," but I do hope you all enjoy this phase of our class. The purpose of the blog is to share opinions, look at the social implications of computer usage, and to make you all more computer savvy.

Every few days I will post a blog on a timely topic. You will be asked to share your opinion. Please be honest. The blog comments are not judged; your grade is based solely on whether or not you responded in the correct format. You are awarded twenty points for each blog response. If you respond to all five blogs, then you have a one hundred test grade. The blogs all together count as one test.

If any of you have a topic you would like me to cover in the blog, please let me know. Until then, visit http://www.blogged.com/directory/ . Visit two of the blogs and tell me what you think. This blog will be "live" until Monday, July 12.

I visited the "iPhone news," and "Apple Fan blogs": I really liked the iPhone news blog, it was talking about if the iphone is really worth buying. So basically both blogs keep you up to date on the do's and don'ts of APPLE.

I visited Kate Hudson and Reggie Bush blog. I find it real funny how they talked about Reggie Bush hitting on a bald headed woman. And i also like how they were talking about Kate in all her so-called boyfriends who have been buying her rings and meeting her parents!! LaKenya Bunton

I visited Style Me Pretty and the Luna Cafe. I am getting married after Christmas, and these blogs gave me some great ideas. Style Me Pretty had photos of a wedding with all white decorations except for a few pink flowers; I didn't think I would like the look, but its very dainty and elegant.

I went to the blog about Kabayashi and how he was pretty mad about losing the hot dog eating competition on July 4, 2010 once again to Chestnut. He went to jail for making some kind of big scene ha. I also visited a blog about the 2010 World Cup and how it was talking about Spanish forward David Villa and all his clutch goals. He scored a nice goal in the 83rd minute of the Paraguay game.
